Dekoni materials, decoded

Dekoni's pad range looks like a menu written in another language. It is actually a small, logical system — here is the decoder.
The two lines. Choice is the value line: solid materials, honest construction, lower price. Elite is the premium line: denser memory foam, better-wearing surfaces. If the headphone cost more than €300, Elite is usually worth it.
Sheepskin seals tightest against the head. More seal means more bass and more isolation — and slightly warmer ears. Fenestrated sheepskin is the same leather, perforated: the seal relaxes, the bass lift flattens back out, and the sound opens up. Pick it when you want the sheepskin feel without changing the tuning much.
Velour breathes best — the long-session choice, at the cost of a little bass. Hybrid is Dekoni's compromise: sheepskin outer ring for seal, fenestrated inner face, velour where it touches skin. Gel pads carry a cooling layer for hot rooms and long broadcasts.
One honest caveat: pads are part of a headphone's tuning. Changing material changes the sound — usually mildly, occasionally a lot. That is not a flaw; it is a tuning knob. If you are torn between two materials, take velour for comfort, sheepskin for isolation, and keep the cleaning kit next to either — clean pads outlast dirty ones by years.
