Beyerdynamic's booth headphone in the current PRO X generation. The job description is specific: survive loud rooms, sit firmly for one-ear cueing, and shrug off being dropped on a mixer at three in the morning.

It's wired, terminating in a 3.5 mm jack for the usual booth-mixer adapter logic, and it wears the PRO X badge — which in Beyerdynamic's current range means the working-tool tier, not the hi-fi shelf.

If you mix at home or mostly listen, the DT 770 PRO is the more versatile buy. This one is for people who actually stand in front of a crowd.

Our take
Unless you're actually DJing, buy a DT 770 PRO 80 Ω instead — easier to live with for long sessions at home. If you are DJing, the firm fit and cable-abuse tolerance here are precisely the point.
