The DT 100's better-sounding relative: a closed tracking headphone that trades the museum tuning for proper low-end extension while keeping the fully modular construction. Still built in Heilbronn, still repairable down to the last part.

Engineers keep specifying it for loud sources — drums, guitar cabs, location work — because it isolates seriously and takes a beating. The soft-shell pads seal well, glasses included.

It looks industrial because it is. If you want a closed Beyerdynamic with more comfort and a more modern fit, cross-shop the DT 770 PRO; the DT 150 answers with serviceability the 770 can't match.

Our take
Between the two Heilbronn classics: DT 150 if you care how it sounds, DT 100 if you're matching a broadcast fleet. Against the DT 770 PRO it gives up comfort and sparkle but wins on lifetime — every part of it replaces.
