The working middle of Beyerdynamic's TG vocal dynamics: a cardioid handheld, here in the switched version. Cardioid is the forgiving live pattern — drift slightly off-axis and it does not punish you — and a dynamic capsule means no power needed and no fear of drops.

For singing bands, open mics, small venues and houses of worship. The on/off switch suits self-run stages where singers manage their own channel.

If you are fighting feedback on a loud stage with wedges everywhere, the hypercardioid TG V70d rejects more from the sides — that is the upgrade path.

Our take
The sensible default of the three TG vocal dynamics on our wall: the V35 below it is for rehearsals, the V70d above it is for loud stages. Most singers should simply buy this one.
