The top dynamic in the TG vocal line, with a hypercardioid pattern — tighter than cardioid, rejecting more wedge spill and stage wash from the sides. On loud stages that converts directly into gain before feedback and a cleaner vocal channel.

For gigging lead vocalists, loud bands, and anyone who has lost the feedback fight with a cardioid mic.

Hypercardioid discipline cuts both ways: it rewards singers who stay on the capsule and punishes mic-wanderers, whose level drops the moment they drift. Quiet stages and untrained vocalists are better served by the cardioid TG V50.

Our take
A tool, not a comfort blanket: singers with technique gain real headroom on loud stages, mic-wanderers lose their vocal in the wedges. Know which singer you are buying for — otherwise take the V50.
