Edifier G2000

Two palm-sized cabinets and a combined 32 W. The point of the G2000 over any single-box option is stereo — games in particular make constant use of it, and footsteps and pans actually come from somewhere.

It is sold as a pair, connects to the PC or over Bluetooth, and wears its gamer styling openly. The size is deliberate: this fits desks that a full monitor pair would crowd out.

Cabinets this small make polite bass, not physical bass. At desk distance that is usually the right amount — and the G5000 exists for when it isn't.
