The flagship of Edifier's desktop M series: 100 W of combined amplification and enough cabinet to make the step up from the M60 audible rather than theoretical. Bluetooth is on board for phone and computer alike.

It suits the desk that doubles as the main listening position — a home office where music runs all day, a studio flat where the computer setup is the hi-fi. Scale and drive are what you're paying for over the smaller M models.

Be honest about the room before ordering: if the M60 already covers it, the M90's extra output goes unused. It is for the space that audibly asks for more.

Our take

Buy the M90 when the M60 left you wanting scale — that is the entire difference that matters. Desk-as-hi-fi is its natural habitat.
