Edifier's serious desk monitor: a three-way powered pair with a dedicated midrange driver — rare at nearfield size — and 110 W across the pair.

That middle driver is the point. Voices and instruments stay separated at close range where two-ways start to smear, so mixes translate and long sessions tire you less. Balanced and consumer line inputs sit alongside Bluetooth, letting it work as the studio monitor by day and the room speaker after hours.

Sold as a pair, black or white. Nearfields are desk tools — if you listen from across the room, the R-series wooden boxes are the better shape for the job.

Our take
Half the desk questions in this shop end here: more resolving than the MR4, and cheaper than getting into Adam T5V territory once you remember the Adams sell per piece. Producers on a budget should still hear both before deciding.
