A wooden powered pair from the middle of Edifier's bookshelf range: Bluetooth alongside wired line inputs, classic veneer-and-grille looks.

It slots into the same shelf territory as the R1280DB with a different face — pick on looks, because the family sound is the same warm, easygoing balance that flatters TV and streaming alike.

Sold as a pair and mains-powered — whatever some listings claim, this is furniture, not a portable speaker. Vinyl needs a phono stage before these inputs.

Our take
In a range this crowded, the R1380DB is the one you buy because its look fits the room — sonically the R1280DB does the same job. No shame in either.
