Upper shelf of the R-series: a powered bookshelf pair with Bluetooth alongside its wired inputs and enough cabinet to anchor a real room rather than a desk.

Factory specs run thin on this model, so we will not pad them. Expect the house balance — warm, unfussy, made for living rooms rather than mixing desks — with more presence behind it than the R1280 family.

Sold as a pair, line-level inputs only: a deck needs a phono stage upstream. Pick it when the speaker has to earn a place on real furniture.

Our take
Between the R1700BTS below and the R2000DB above, this one sells on look and size in the room. If numbers decide your purchases, buy the R2000DB — its spec sheet is fuller and so is its sound.
