A powered pair not much bigger than coffee mugs: Bluetooth in, five watts total out, sold in black or white. It exists to replace laptop speakers on desks with no room for anything grander.

Within those limits it is honest — near-field background music, podcasts, calls. It will not fill a room and does not pretend to.

If the desk can take wooden boxes, the R1010BT is where small speakers start sounding like proper ones.

Our take
Buy it for the footprint, nothing else. The R33BT is the same recipe one shelf over; the first jump you can actually hear is the R1010BT.
