The newest of Edifier's 2.1 systems: two satellites, a subwoofer, Bluetooth and wired inputs, remote in the box. Comes in black or walnut — pick whichever survives the living-room negotiation.

It does what the S350DB and S351DB do with a fresher design: bass from the sub, detail from the satellites, one purchase for the complete system. TV benches and large desks are home.

Sold as the full set, satellites and subwoofer together. Give the sub proper floor space rather than the nearest cupboard, and it will repay the courtesy.

Our take

Within Edifier's 2.1 sets — S350DB, S351DB, S355DB — this is the one we'd take on looks and age alone; the sound differences are smaller than the spec sheets suggest. The genuinely different sibling is the S360DB with its wireless subwoofer.
