Edifier's base ANC over-ear: Bluetooth with active noise cancelling and a built-in microphone for calls. The cancelling takes the low rumble out of buses and open offices; it will not silence voices, and nothing at this level does.

One honest limit — there is no wired input. When the battery runs down, it stays quiet until it charges. If you ever plug into a laptop or an amp, the W820NB Plus adds a wired mode and stronger codec support for a modest step up.

Our take
Skip it unless the gap to the W820NB Plus matters that week. The Plus adds the wired mode and LDAC — exactly the two things you will eventually wish this had.
