The version of the W820NB most people should buy. Same light over-ear frame and active noise cancelling, with the two additions that matter: a wired mode for flat batteries and desk use, and LDAC for higher-bitrate Bluetooth from Android phones.

It's a commuter and home-office headphone, not a studio tool — the tuning is easygoing and the isolation good for the class. Navy, Ivory and Gray finishes; pick by wardrobe, they're otherwise identical.

If your phone doesn't do LDAC and you never use cables, the standard W820NB covers you for less.

Our take
The pick of our Edifier ANC shelf. The W830NB is newer and runs longer between charges, but the Plus does the daily job for less — and Ivory is the nicest object of the lot.
