A tube amplifier from a planar company, built the traditional way:, output with point-to-point flavour, made to put weight and glow behind HE1000-class headphones. The transformer coupling is the point — it lets tubes deliver the current planars ask for, which most tube designs cannot.

There is no DAC inside; bring your own source. And it is not the rational buy in this line-up — the EF600 does the practical job for less.

The GA-10 is for the listener who has heard both and wants the tube presentation anyway: denser images, rounder edges, music with the lights low.

Our take
The heart purchase. The EF600 is the better tool — DAC built in, nothing that ages — but tools don't glow. If an HE1000-class planar is already on the stand, this is what the evenings are for.
