The KPH30i is what happens when Koss aims the Porta Pro formula at listeners instead of nostalgics: same driver lineage, flatter and cleaner tuning, a fixed retro headband in place of the folding one. It weighs next to nothing and its open back keeps the sound relaxed and out of your head.

The open design trades privacy for that ease — your neighbours get a whisper of everything, and the room stays audible. Keep it for home and desk duty.

60 Ω means any laptop or dongle drives it. The foam pads are consumables; Dekoni's replacements for the Porta Pro and KPH30i fit it and outlast the originals.

Our take

The best-sounding cheap headphone in the shop, full stop. Pick the Porta Pro over it only for the fold-up portability or the looks.
