A coloured-shell version of the KPH7, Koss's bare-essentials wired on-ear. Under the finish nothing changes: the same slim adjustable band, soft pads and 3.5 mm plug that made the plain model a fixture in classrooms and offices.
Colour earns its keep in fleets — when a basket of identical headphones has to come back to the right rooms, shells you can tell apart at a glance beat labels. At home it is simply a matter of taste.
Buy it exactly as you would the standard KPH7: as cheerful utility. For actual listening pleasure, the KPH30i remains the Koss to save for.
Our take
Sound-identical to every other KPH7 — the shell is the entire decision. Mixing colours across a classroom set makes sorting them trivial.
