The smallest rung of Koss's home ladder: a light wired headphone with a 3.5 mm plug, built to a price and honest about it.
It is the classroom-laptop, spare-drawer, travel-bag headphone — the one you buy so the good pair stays home. For a child's first headphone or an emergency backup at the office, it is exactly enough.
Managed expectations: thin pads, modest bass, everything serviceable and nothing more. Treat it as stationery, not equipment.
Our take
One shelf up, the UR20 goes around the ear instead of on it and is the first UR that feels like something you would keep. This one is a consumable.
