A lint-free cloth for everything around the record: jackets, dust covers, the plinth, the shelf. Dust you take off the lid is dust that never lands in the groove.

It is not a record cleaner — vinyl wants velvet, not cloth. Keep this one for the hardware and the CL-120 brush for the playing surface.

Our take
The cheapest habit in record care: wipe the lid before you lift it. Half the noisy-pressing complaints we hear started with a dusty dust cover.
