The famous one. The MP-110 is the default recommendation for a first serious cartridge across half the internet, and for once the internet is right: elliptical tip, generous output, and a bouncy, musical balance that flatters more records than it exposes.

Moving magnet, so it runs into any standard MM phono input. The half-inch mount fits any conventional headshell or arm — not fixed-cartridge automatics. And the stylus (JN-P110) replaces in seconds, which turns a purchase into a platform: body once, tips for a decade.

Our take

If your deck takes a half-inch cartridge and you don't know what to put on it, it's this. (Fixed-cartridge automatics like Sony's PS-LX need not apply — the stylus is the upgrade there.)
