The point where the MP series stops being a value story: a superfine elliptical tip on a boron-reinforced cantilever. The stiffer cantilever is the audible part — transients tighten, sibilance calms down, and inner grooves stop smearing.

Still a moving magnet, so any standard MM phono input drives it with no extra hardware — the quiet argument for the whole MP range. Half-inch mount for any conventional headshell; not for fixed-cartridge automatics. When the time comes, the JN-P150 stylus replaces in seconds.

Our take
The biggest single jump in the range is 110 to 150 — bigger than 150 to 200. If your table and arm are mid-tier, this is where we'd stop.
