120 Ω is comfortable territory for any decent interface — no separate amp required. Both a straight and a coiled 3 m cable come in the box.

Open back means it leaks both ways: a tool for a room of your own, not the bus.

Our take
Acoustically this sits very close to the HD 560S — the extra spend buys the coiled cable, softer pads and pro fittings. Mixing on a tight budget, take the 560S; wanting the two-tuning pad system, look at the HD 490 PRO. The 400 PRO is for people who want one flat headphone with road-ready cables.
