The current keeper of the HD 6-series flame: an improved driver with stronger sub-bass than any 600-series before it, and the same legendary midrange honesty. Both 6.35 mm and balanced 4.4 mm cables come in the box.

Still 300 Ω, still wants an amp, still repairable forever. Evolution, not revolution — which is precisely the point. If your library leans electronic or bass-heavy, this is the 6-series that finally keeps up.

Our take
Of the three 6-series on the wall: mix on the HD 600, relax with the HD 650, and buy the S2 when you want the family midrange with genuine sub-bass under it. The included 4.4 mm cable plugs straight into a balanced output, if your amp has one.
