The fifth generation of Sennheiser's travel flagship — the current answer to the wireless ANC class, with the house tuning that keeps the MOMENTUM line on the audio-person's side of the aisle.
Everything the line is known for carries over: over-ear comfort built for long-haul days, hi-res-capable Bluetooth, and a wired fallback for planes and proper sources. This is the one to buy new and keep for years.
We will say it plainly: it is early in this model's life and priced like it. If the budget is tighter, the MOMENTUM 4 remains on our shelf and remains excellent.
Our take
Too new for a long verdict, so here is the short one: it sounds like a MOMENTUM and it is the freshest platform in the class. Value hunters buy the 4; keepers buy this.
