A wireless TV-listening system: the transmitter stays with the television, the portable receiver goes wherever you sit, and the volume at your seat is yours alone to set — independent of the room.

It is built for one job: making TV speech clear for one listener. The classic buyer is a household where one person needs the dialogue louder than everyone else can live with; the late-night viewer keeping the volume down is the other. It is not a soundbar and will not fill a room — that is rather the point.

    Our take
More households need one of these than know the category exists. If TV volume is a nightly negotiation in your house, this ends the argument — a kinder fix than subtitles for everyone.
