A single balanced-armature earphone in one of the smallest shells Shure makes. Deep passive isolation, cable worn over the ear, and a detachable cable with microphone and remote for calls between songs.

The single armature favours voices, strings and fine detail over rumble — podcasts, acoustic music and stage vocals sit right where they should; electronic bass does not. Small-eared listeners who find most earphones bulky should try this shell first.

Two finishes, black or white. If you want low-end weight from the same family, the AONIC 4 adds a dynamic driver for exactly that reason.

The detail pick of our Shure in-ears: voices first, bass last. Bass-first listeners should walk one shelf over to the AONIC 4, or save money and take the SE215's warmth instead.
