Shure SE215 Sound Isolating

The default first stage monitor. A single dynamic driver per side, a warm tuning with real bass weight, and the deep foam-sleeve seal that blocks a drum kit or a bus equally well. The cable detaches at an MMCX socket and routes over the ear, so it survives being stepped on and being replaced.

Buy it as a first in-ear monitor, or as a commuting earphone that isolates without batteries or apps. The over-ear cable takes a day to feel normal, and the seal is the whole point — if you dislike things sitting deep in your ear canal, this is not your earphone.
