Sony Speaker SRS-LS1 LinkBuds

A single compact wireless speaker — one unit, not a stereo pair — for the kitchen counter, the bedside, the desk corner. Bluetooth from any phone; the LinkBuds name points to Sony's hand-off trick, where playback can pass between compatible Sony earbuds and this speaker through the Sony app instead of stopping when you get home.

It is waterproof and portable, so it follows you around the flat and shrugs off the splash zone by the sink. Two finishes: gray and black.

Know what you are buying: one speaker means convenience, not stereo. If the job is sit-down music at a desk or filling a room properly, a pair of Edifier bookshelves at similar money does that better — this wins on size, portability and the earbuds hand-off.
