A semi-modular analog monosynth that plays normally straight out of the box — two oscillators into the Steiner-Parker filter, Brute Factor for controlled damage — and then hands you a 48-point patchbay when the front panel stops being enough. Every patch point rewires the voice; none is required to make sound. That is why this is the synth people buy to learn modular and keep because it is a good instrument on its own.

The 25-key bed has aftertouch, the 64-step sequencer and arp run without a computer, and the CV/gate sockets speak fluent Eurorack.

Mono only — basses, leads and drones, not chords. Noir is the all-black edition.

Our take

The 2 and the 2S share one voice, so keys-or-pads is the entire decision: players take this one, sequence-first producers take the 2S. Either way, the RackBrute dock is half the reason to stay in the family.
