The same analog voice as the MiniBrute 2 — two oscillators, Steiner-Parker filter, Brute Factor — with the keyboard swapped for 16 pads and a three-layer step sequencer recording pitch, velocity and modulation per step. It is the groovebox half of the Brute system: less playing, more programming, more performance.

The 48-point patchbay is unchanged, so those sequencer layers can drive external CV gear as easily as the internal voice — docked into a RackBrute, the 2S becomes the conductor of a small modular rig.

If you play melodies with fingers on keys, buy the MiniBrute 2 instead. If you build tracks a step at a time, this is the better tool.

Our take

Same voice as the MiniBrute 2, so buy on workflow alone. As a sequencer for a small Eurorack rig it quietly replaces a dedicated module or two — that is where the 2S earns its keep.
