The closed flagship: the T1's Tesla drivers and Heilbronn build behind sealed cups, for rooms you share with other people. Isolation at this level of resolution is rare — that is the entire pitch, and it holds.

It suits the listener who wants flagship sound on the train, in an open office, or next to a sleeping partner. At 32 Ω it runs from portable sources better than most headphones in this class, though a desktop amp still lifts it.

Know the trade before buying: sealed cups always give up a little of the open models' stage. If you never leave a quiet room, buy the T1 and take the space instead.

Our take
The only headphone on our wall that does flagship resolution and real isolation at once — the DT 1770 Pro is the studio workhorse, the T5 is the same idea in nicer shoes. Commuters with good ears, this is your endgame; desk listeners should take the T1.
