The Sonic Potions LXR reborn as Erica-built desktop hardware: six drum voices you synthesize from scratch — not samples you merely trigger. That difference is the whole machine. A snare can be pushed somewhere no sample pack goes, then bent per step by the performance sequencer.

Mix and separate outputs, MIDI, clock and USB cover studio and live duties without adapters or excuses.

Techno machine, IDM machine — for anyone who designs drums rather than chooses them. If you mostly want to load classic kits and go, a sample-based box will frustrate you less.

Our take
Synthesis, not samples, is the buying reason: if you sculpt drums, take this over any sample player. If you need analog weight instead, the HexDrums is the step up — at a very different price.
