Furutech's standard female XLR: rhodium-plated contacts, a carbon fiber barrel, and the latch engagement of something machined rather than stamped. This is the source end of a balanced interconnect — the plug that clicks onto an output and holds.

For DIY interconnects with proper bulk wire; two females and two CF-601M males make a stereo pair. If the run feeds stage gear that gets stepped on, buy Neutrik instead and spend the difference on cable.

Our take
The honest grade of the two females — rhodium where it touches signal, none of the NCF materials bill. For a home rig that gets plugged once a year, this is the one we would solder.
