    Unlike smart-shoe camera mics, this is a conventional XLR microphone on 48 V phantom power: it works with any recorder, mixer or interface, on any brand of camera rig, today and in twenty years.

    It is a working tool for film and broadcast sound recordists. If your audio setup is a mirrorless camera with no XLR input, this is the wrong shelf — see the ECM-B1M instead.
