The fitting for STAX's flat ribbon leads at the earspeaker end — for rebuilding or re-terminating an electrostatic cable without donor parts. Check that your model takes a detachable lead before ordering; fixed-cable STAX generations don't.

Electrostatics run at bias voltages that will bite. Unplug at the energiser and leave it a minute before you touch the pins.
