The larger of Beyerdynamic's pre-matched TG drum packages — full-kit coverage from one box, with the mics voiced to sit together. The alternative is assembling the same coverage piecemeal and hoping your choices agree with each other.

For working bands, venues and studios miking a complete kit through a PA or an interface. A fully wired kit eats preamps: an eight-channel front end like the Audient EVO SP8 is the realistic companion, not an afterthought.

If your kit is a compact four-piece, the PRO M covers it for less and you will not miss the difference. If you are only miking kick and snare, buy those two mics singly instead.

Our take
Sets like this earn their keep on consistency — matched voicing across the kit beats a drawer of mismatched mics collected over years. For a four-piece kit, though, the PRO M is the saner spend.
