HiFiMan's newest thinking in the upper-middle of the range: a current-generation single-ended planar that slots between the Arya Organic and the HE1000 V4. You are buying the company's freshest driver work without flagship pricing.

It suits the listener who wants today's engineering rather than a decade-refined platform — the HE1000 line is the proven quantity; this is the new argument.

Open-back, home-listening hardware: it leaks like any open planar, and it wants a competent desktop amplifier before the single-sided magnet layout shows what it is for.

Our take
It sits close to the HE1000 V4 on price, and that is the real decision: proven platform and bigger stage on one side, newer driver engineering on the other. Undecided buyers usually leave with the V4; the curious take the HE600.
