The desktop Swiss knife: fourteen ins and outs with two of Arturia's DiscretePRO preamps, a proper RIAA phono input for the sampling crowd, talkback, two independent headphone outputs and a three-port USB hub. Rev2 carries the refined converters.

Channel honesty: two microphone preamps means recording one or two sources at a time — a vocal over a beat, a stereo pair, guitar and voice. The 14-in figure counts the digital and phono paths, not fourteen mics.

The phono input is the quiet differentiator — sampling vinyl without an external preamp is rare at this size of box.

Our take
Buy it for the phono input and the desk ergonomics. If all you need is two clean preamps, the cheaper MiniFuse 2 or an Audient iD14 gets you most of the way — but producers who sample records should be looking right here.
