A small-diaphragm true condenser with Austrian Audio's ceramic capsule mounting — a pencil mic built for precision work: acoustic guitar, hi-hat, percussion, and any source where a big diaphragm would smear the detail. Cardioid pattern, 145 dB maximum SPL, so close brass and drum rims hold no fear.

Sold as a single microphone, with clip and windshield included. It needs 48 V phantom power, which any interface on our shelf provides.

Buyers planning stereo work should pause here: overheads and piano want a matched pair, and matching is done at the factory, not afterwards. That is what the CC8 Stereo Set is for.

Our take
One CC8 on acoustic guitar earns its keep immediately. The moment the word "overheads" enters the conversation, buy the Stereo Set — a second single bought later will never match this closely.
